The music on this video has been edited over the video because on the original video, Lorde does not actually sing any words apart from the word 'yeah' 43 seconds and 53 seconds so our actress did not have to mime very much. Below are the lyrics from the 60 seconds of Lorde - Tennis Courts that we are making a remake of:

Filming Schedule

We have done a practise run of filming our video so that we could see any changes that would need to be made before we make the final video. For example, some parts of the video were blurry suggesting that the camera had been knocked, so for the final filming we would have to make sure that nothing is touching the camera or affecting the filming. Also we realised that the actress in our video was not making agressive/big enough movements so we can make sure she does in the final filming. We filmed the practise video on the 13th June.

We are doing our final filming on Friday 20th June.

Storyboard

It was important to construct a detailed story board so that we could make a successful remake of the original. By making this story board we could see shot by shot changes, such as lighting changes. In this specific video there are no changes to mise-en-scene or camerawork, there is also no real editing as it is just one continuous shot. However, our storyboard was useful because we could see the lighting changes and the lighting is the main focus and most important part of the video and to remake the video effectively we needed to make sure that the lighting changes were done at exactly the same time as in the original.

Location

We chose to record our video in the green room at Wyke college. We chose this location as it had professional lighting so we could make sure the lighting in our video was the same as the one in Lorde's video as she used hollywood lighting. Also the green room had a black background and nowhere else did so it was appropriate to use this as it would clearly replicate the black background of Lorde's original video.

Cast List

For our remake there is only one main performer which is Amber Mason replicating Lorde as she is singing on her own and with no one else in the shot.

Props

For this music video they are no actual props used as it is just a singular continuous shot of Lorde in front of a camera doing no extreme movements in a blank room with no specific setting.

Transition Project

For our transition project we have to as a group, recreate 60 seconds of a music video, as group through looking through a lot of different music videos we came to the conclusion to recreate Lorde - Tennis Courts.
