'Behind the scenes'

This is how I set up the green room when doing the filming for the main singer in my music video. I had to alter the set up of the lighting before I actually started filming. Before I ended up on this set up, there was an obvious shadow to the left of the actor. To overcome this I had to turn off one of the lights on the right of the actor to even up the distribution of light.

Green room set up

This will be how the green room is set up for my filming:
The set up of the green room is very important for my video, this is why I have made a plan to follow for each individual filming that I do. The set up is so important because I am doing a split screen so it will be very obvious if anything is slightly different. I will have a cross on the floor so that each actor/actress is stood in exactly the same place and all of the lighting will stay in the same place. It is also important that the camera is in the same place so that the framing is the same in each shot.

How to Split Screen

As I have never actually used final cut pro on a mac before, I thought it would be a good idea to look at how to split screen as this editing technique is going to feature heavily in my video. I thought this editing technique would be very difficult but this video shows it in a very simple way.
